The Mission of A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois is to preserve the universal right to
a safe, unrestricted, motorcycling environment.

A.B.A.T.E. of ILLINOIS, INC., is a not-for-profit organization that allows all riders
to unite in
A
Brotherhood
Aimed
Toward
Education.
A.B.A.T.E. works to safeguard our motorcycling rights, while allowing us to be individuals
with different views.
A.B.A.T.E.'s main concern is putting motorcycling legislation in its proper perspective.
This being accomplished through motorcycle safety education programs, public awareness programs, and other programs designed
to prevent injury or fatal accidents to motorcyclists.
A.B.A.T.E. keeps the legislature informed of our position on any legislation that
is unfair or discriminatory towards motorcyclists.
A.B.A.T.E. works closely with motorcycle rights organizations across the nation to
stop discriminatory legislation aimed at all motorcyclists throughout the country.
Our mission statement means we are dedicated to protecting the rights of all motorcyclists,
both street and trail riders and we intend to continue to do just that. This means that in addition to our proven record of
success in representing the "Street Riders" we also include a successful record with our Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Committee.
A.B.A.T.E. of Illinois has been in the forefront of the development of OHV Parks
funding emphasizing a coalition of concerned multiple use beneficiaries, promoting safety & viable ecological concerns.
A.B.A.T.E. has also been a major factor in the development of an OHV Grant Program through State Agencies, which will enable
groups, local governments and even private individuals to purchase land for the specific purpose of recreational use. A.B.A.T.E.
is in the forefront of a coalition of multiple use advocates dedicated to the ideal of planned access and use of land to benefit
current and future generations |
